Linux on Windows......Windows on Linux

I wonder who they are targeting with that kind of merging of Linux command line stuff with Windows command line stuff. Linux users will, if needed, run Windows in a virtual machine. Windows users have long ago been steered away from the command line and most every Windows user who wants to mess with a Raspberry Pi has problems typing commands on the command line and often fail to properly type a command, disregard’s the error and tries to continue and then gets frustrated because the final result doesn’t work.

I can guess where/why this might exist. LAMP has infiltrated most every corporate IT department to the point there are fewer Windows Admins and Windows servers and more Linux admins and Linux servers. So maybe Microsoft is trying to get Linux inside of Windows so that the Windows host is in control of things. Not to unlike how when Microsoft purchased Hotmail and tried to port all the servers to Windows and failed over and over so they instead put Windows load balancing servers network facing so to the outside world it looked like Hotmail was on Windows and stats showed it that way.

Interesting. $0.02 is that Windows belongs being managed inside of Linux and not the other way around.
