I love German engineers for that reason! But I also love unconventional design- I use it constantly.

One question: I’ve built a few corexy printers but always go back to h bot or Cartesian. Have you seen any disadvantages? Seems sharp corners suffer a little on some. Also belt stretch. Any thoughts?

Pulleys can work fine without their flanges but I can see why it’s worrying. Edit: Oh, other people did spot it.

@Brook_Drumm it’s 6 of one half a dozen of the other. No real difference as long as you make sure the belts aren’t pulling the XY assembly to one side else your prints come out skewed. Tbh any printer can print well if well built and configured.

Point taken. I didn’t stick w it to try and tune it very well. I’ve seen some incredible prints from corexy printers though!

@Brook_Drumm ​ you can do plate aluminum right? I wonder how that would help stability

I have a water jet so I can cut any metal plate :wink:
