I just recently finished helping my dad repair some water / termite damage around the chimney on the back of my parent’s house (bad roof flashing install). The house has cement fiber board lap siding. We were able to reuse most of the siding we took off, which saved the cost and mess of cutting new pieces. To make the reinstalling easier I whipped up a couple of siding gauges that allowed quick spacing of each course of siding. Made from 1/4" ply.
