Just released a new edge build of Smoothieware that adds a Laser menu item to the LCD panel. You need to get the firmware-cnc.bin
It allows real time tuning of the laser power
it also adds a test fire entry. The test fire entry by default will turn the laser off after 10 seconds if the panel is idle, this can be overriden by clicking the Keep On menu entry.
I plan to also add a way to set the default laser power in case you run a file with no Sxxx in it. (As I just did when I ran a CNC engraving gcode file and wondered why it was only at 80%)
