Just printed a millennium falcon on my recently completed reprap! Looks okay except for tons of tiny blobs and blemishes, any advice? Thanks

I am by no means an expert. But that looks like retraction is off.

In lasercut, if you got too much scrub, that means your beam was too strong or too hot.
I think the same happened with printing (coz CNC makes no mistakes), check the thermal regime. Lower or higher would help you.

Wow man, sorry people are speaking in other languages and talking about lasers. I would check to make sure you aren’t over extruding. I would do one of the benchmark prints and measure it to make sure it’s the right dimensions.

@Chris_Macier Thanks!

Do a few test prints to fine up your retraction settings and get the temperature a little lower if you can. My fingers are crossed for you.

Oh, there is another point to consider… Filament choice. I’ve had two supposedly identical rolls of PLA but one of them seemed to print much nicer than the other.

Over extrusion for sure. Thermally calibrate your filament and it will eliminate this issue.
