Just opened a spool of Taulman's "Bridge" filament.

Just opened a spool of Taulman’s “Bridge” filament. Question for those who have used it; Recommendations for base settings to start from :
Speed
Extruder temp
Bed temp
Extrusion width /layer height

thnx in advance

@Thomas_Sanladerer I don’t understand why you sent this ‘/sub’

Please explain.

I don’t have an answer to your original question, but I’m interested in the answers, too - writing a comment and immediately deleting it basically sub-scribes you to the thread, but doesn’t fill up the thread with useless posts.

@Thomas_Sanladerer As I got no suggestions I went with:
Speed 60 mm/s
Temp 245 / 60
.100 layer with .15 first layer @ 75% speed
5mm Brim 2mm skirt
PVA on glass
and it worked pretty well.

Set fan to auto after 2 layers. May need some tweeking but not bad for a start.

At least as good and I think better. Still printing a new x axis motor mount (new Mendel90 design) but the test piece had a smoother finish. Probably because it is less hydroscopic than 618.

I ran mine at my normal abs speeds (90-100mm/s) 245c extruder 65c bed with 50:50 Elmer’s glue all to water. And .2 layer height.

Worked epically.

@Joe_Spanier Thank you. Evaluated my first print and conclude I should lay down the first layers slowly as I do with 618, as I had a bit of lift/curl at one feature. Do you use active cooling ? I had fan on ‘Auto’ after 3 layers and layer bonding seems unbreakable. Love the finish though.

No cooling. I may try it for even better bridging. I just started playinf with it for pla
