Just found another great use for a 3D printer - using the bed to heat up a galaxy S3 to melt the glue enough to replace the glass! Much safer than a heat gun / hairdryer.
I should have thought of that. I killed my Galaxy Nexus by fundamentally failing to understand the assembly. I crushed the corner of the display trying to separate it from the glass, thinking I was already past the corner and working along the edge. Oops. The replacement phone from eBay already had CM, and a larger battery. I figure the lesson cost me about $80.
Been there and done that on s3 with hair dryer wish I would had this knowledge and my printer then. Filing this away for late
