Just bought a printbot simple, so excited, dont know how I will manage to wait the shipping, after I build and set the software, what are the next steps, calibration?
Likely your printrbot simple will come with an electronics board that is already preflashed with near-perfect settings. Or the printrbot will have some documentation on a branch of the marlin firmware that has the near-perfect settings to flash.
Yes, been reading about that… then calibration is a MUST?
Yeah, calibration is always a must.
Will check and if theres some doubt will come back
I’ve got a Plus V2… I haven’t had the opportunity to test much since I made the change, but I had to slightly change the extruder value. It’s always worth while to test the calibration. BTW, didn’t want to wait for the new simple?
You have to understand that owning a 3D printer is a project unto itself. Calibration is a must, and with the cheaper models, it is an ongoing process that has no end.
@Shachar_Weis thanks i need to keep reading on that matter
I just built one. You might find my notes useful. Mine was calibrated very well out of the box except it was extruding too much by about 8%. http://shortcircuitsandinfiniteloops.blogspot.com/2014/01/printrbot-simple-kit-review-and-getting.html?m=1
@Jason_Bowling Thanks a lot, mostly it to calibrate extruding and the motors and how the operate? right?
Thanks!!!
