Just a question / idea: since many new machines are integrating 3d scanners, how feasible would be to use them to guide the printhead to get better print quality?

Our printheads still have a far greater accuracy than most 3D scanners, especially hobby-grade ones.
Also, if you have a well-calibrated printer, print quality should not be an area of concern.

Yes yes, but with real time feedback from active scan you could get much more control and correction … maybe … I’m not sure , It is beyond my knowledge. SOmehow I feel it could be used …

even that would be a step forward … maybe warping prevention or something like that …

Why use a scanner. Just use a camera. Or even sensors to diagnose filament breaks or tension and even part warping.
