It would seem that my aged Azteeg X5 board has died. fuse blew and now (after replacing fuse) it won’t heat bed or hotend. USB disconnects when i try. If it needs replacing, what controller would the community recommend for a mendel90-derivative 3d printer?

I would use the Cohesion3D mini or remix boards.

for a cartesian a plain old ramps is good enough. just add fancy drivers and you are good to go.
