Installing and running (auto on startup) Serial Port JSON Server on Raspberry Pi 2

Installing and running (auto on startup) Serial Port JSON Server on Raspberry Pi 2 (Raspbian) ~

I am posting this information for all the other noobies here who are trying to figure out how to install the JSON server on RPI2 ~ I looked far and wide and finally came across a recent post by Christian Jørgensen about setting up the RPI2 as a JSON Server ~ he mentioned in the comments a link to a very clear instruction of installing (good to know as it wasn’t an apt-get command ~ ARRR! as well as a script to auto start up the server on boot up.

Thanks Christian ~ you saved me!

oh yes ~ the link ~ below ~

One thing I will note… if you get an error after you start the server ~ something about the default port 8989 is in use ~ try stopping and restarting the server a couple of time (command line) ~ I just thought I would give that a try (intuition sometimes completes understanding ;{) ) and it finally started up ~ yee hoo!

Glad to be able to help Chapeux!
