In trying to print a pre-made model of Minecraft ™ TNT, I learned how overhangs are sometimes un-printable on my printer. So, I started from scratch to create my own TNT (model on thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:643065) with all beveled overhangs - even on the text.
I wrote about it on MkrClub.com and created this image to explain the difference between the original model and my adjusted model, hoping it would help people who are new to modeling and printing.
FWIW: I use Autodesk 123D design and Slic3r on a @LulzBot TAZ4.
I think it may have worked for the letters, but was worried they would sag - and the bottoms of the plaques definitely didn’t work - tried it. thanks
