The wait is worth it.
Short answer is no. Most people who review it say it’s unsurpassed at the price point. That being said you can get similar machines with slightly less quality at that price or cheaper. Take the Monoprice Maker Select Plus. It’s about half the cost, with a slightly smaller build volume. Same movement style as the Prusa, but all metal components. The downside is that you don’t get the genuine E3D V6 hotend, automatic XY calibration, Z mesh leveling, or my favorite feature of live Z adjustment. I would say to go with the MK2S, 2 months down the road you’ll be happy you did. Why are you in such a rush though?
