In the BBB SRM in the section regarding cape compatibility,

In the BBB SRM in the section regarding cape compatibility, Table 13 lists the pins used for the eMMC, but this list does not correspond with the pins used in the firmware. According to table 10 with the mux modes for header P8, there are two pins that share the functon of MMC1-dat2, 3, 6 and 7. Why has this not been updated? Or do I have an outdated SRM?

If anyone is in the process of making a cape, double check that you are not in conflict with the eMMC pins in the device tree overlay firmware: P8.3,4,5,6,20,21,22,23,25

This is updated in the A5.3 SRM, so the problem was that I was looking at the A5.2 SRM which is the one digikey has available. It’s the first hit when googling “Beaglebone black SRM”. So again if you are going to design a cape, make sure you have the latest SRM : )
