I’m really happy with the SPJS running on RP3. The steppers sound absolutely musical while carving smooth 3D surfaces. I assume because the planner buffer is always fat and happy now. Also, my oldish laptop is less stressed out, now that it can focus solely on running CP.

Couple questions…
q1. If CP disconnects from SPJS mid job, should I be able to hit reconnect and continue without loosing data?

q2. Is it possible to connect a second CP to SPJP, to monitor a job from my office, without disturbing the CP in the shop which is controlling the machine? I think the GRBL reset when I tried this.

On disconnect mid-job, everything will keep running fine. You can reconnect and things are fine.

Yes, you can connect a 2nd computer or 3rd or 4th and everything’s fine. This was a core design principle of CP.
