I’m curious about the simplex noise i have been herring and reading about can anyone point me in a direction maybe a book or site where i can Learn about it?
Also does anyone recommend a good general electronics to advanced electronics book?

I’ve heard it referred to as Perlin Noise as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perlin_noise

The last one is about perlin noise, but explains the principles pretty well even if you don’t have a mathematical background.
