@Oystein_Krog @Delaji_D_vil That’s a heaterblock planned for the next DICE. It is like what I think a heaterblock with a 4mm cartridge needs to be.

theoretically, a polished surface is smaller than a non-polished one. Less surface means less heat radiation. If I carefully estimate: This way I am able to save 0,03µW/s going into the printed part :wink:

@Rene_Jurack ​ yes and you could save more then 10watts if you isolate the block :grin:

Und you could even save another 10 Watts and more if you ad a isolationlayer between the heaterblock and the part above

Have you heated the part after the polish? The polish is great for photos but I suspect the shine would go away or get weird quickly under heat. Or it might turn into something special.
