I totally understand the issue with thingiverse and people’s desire to move their designs out of it. But what I find lacking in all those alternative hosting solutions like youmagive, is they don’t have the same “collect” function, only download. I was finding my online collection very useful on thingiverse - a bit of a social aspect, but mostly due to its organizing aspect…
While we’re complaining, the thing I’ll miss most is customizer. 
Why hasn’t someone written an openscad customizer site / app / service? It’s cool thing and easy to write for. Anyone up for the challenge? An open API for a cloud app would allow youmagine and everyone else to benefit.
