I posted a while back about a davinci belt. This is what is written on the belt… 132-2sm. Is this enough info to get a new one?

Just looks like 6mm belt. If you can count the size, you should be able to find a replacement. Also check out misumi

You’ll also need to know what it’s made out of (rubber), that 132 means 66 teeth, and you’ll have to know the belt width. I’m estimating 4mm there? So probably HTBN132S2M-40 on Misumi.

I think I found one… Hopefully

HTBN132S2M-60 if it’s 6mm across.

Thanks! Glad I can finally get that printer back up to its prime

It looks like you’ve got a GT2 belt (the S2M tells you the pitch) and it’s 132mm long. Looks like the next smallest standard size for closed loop GT2 belt like that is 112 mm.

You should probably also measure the width of the belt and make sure you find one that matches it, because GT2 comes in a number of widths.

I’ll be sure to measure it. Although I do have a few mm worth of wiggle room on each side

GT2 and S2M are not the same tooth profile.

It looks like the bearing holder might be cracked, too, which would cause the belt to be loose. There’s printable replacements on Thingiverse that are a lot stronger. I’ve had this exact part break before.

I’ll look again but I believe that’s a piece of purged filament in the picture, not a crack as you can see it in the bearing also

Seems you have found some answers! Nicccee, glad to see it figured out.

Order a “132-S2M”

That’s the belt size and they are standard between manufacturers of belts from my experience.

@Myke_Myke500 that is one thing I was worried about… Differences between mfgrs

@Abc_Def I should say that 99% of the time it will be the same.

There is allowed the chance of a defect or error.

Now I must decide on a material. Rubber belts have handled 1500 hours of printing for me pretty well. What material do you all suggest?

Just checking that you have popped the case and tried to scoot the stepper down to increase the tension.

Unfortunately XYZ printing is not happy to sell you any parts not prepackaged in their kits. I feel your pain.

Yup. Stepper is moved as much as possible. It’ll be a challenge to replace that belt too

McMaster.com probably has this. The challenge is selecting the correct one.
