I just caught a story on NHK World about Japanese doctors who model organs with tumors (the example they used) and then 3d print them and use the prints to make a plan on how to remove the tumor. Or they use it to practice the operation that will remove the tumor.
They also talked about making advancements in printing materials to get a more realistic look/feel to the models.
I looked for a video but didn’t find it. Nice article to bump into.
