I heard some of you are using a screw in thermal couple or thermistor in the E3D hotend. All you have to do is tap the hole and screw it in and it has a wire connected to it. I cant seem to find any or the search term to find it. Anyideas

Hmm, I have used threaded thermistors. But, I have never had an issue with my sensor on my ED3s either. I am intrigued. Why? Teach me.

First i don’t want to have to glue it in I’ve glued them in before and it worked just fine. Second i want it already wired because my last one i had problems keeping the leads from touching

@Mike_Miller aren’t you using these?

I used a conventional thermistor and carefully applied kaptan tape. Almost exactly like @Thomas_Sanladerer did in his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSMzs_MYYF8

If you want to make your own.

@John_Dohnut looks like a mothboard standoff. I have lots of those laying around.

This is a great idea, I will try to make my own.

@John_Dohnut Thats close but still not the thing I was looking for. That would work though. I’ll continue my hunt

After a playing around a bit I think I have found what im looking for
