I have been told that UHU glue sticks are excellent for bed adhesion. Better than Elmer’s or Crayola. Any advice on which variety of UHU is good for cold-bed PLA?

Does Glue work perfectly on Siberians(Some cold area)?

I use the “standard” UHU glue variety that comes in yellow sticks. PLA sticks well on it on a cold bed.

I guess I should have been more specific with my request for recommendations. Everything sticks for me pretty well. The release is another matter. I have broken a glass bed. Sometimes It can take many hours with water and a razor blade to get things soft enough to release. I’ll give it a try anyway. I want to see what people are raving about.

In my experience, UHU works best for PLA. My UHU is a yellow stick labelled ‘UHU stic’.

What I particularly like is that it doesn’t matter if you use a bit too much - the hot tip of the extruder does not burn or discolour the glue if it makes contact. But other glues I have tried have gone brown where the extruder tip touched the glue.

If too much glue is used it just softens and still allows the print to still have a flat base.

Also, I have found that it is best to first put a layer of UHU on the bed to heat-seal it to the tape - by putting a hot object on top of the glue (like a hot water bottle in a plastic bag) for about 10 minutes.

Once the first layer of UHU is heat-sealed to the bed, it is very hard to remove, and all I do then is put a bit more glue on top before each print.
