I have been searching and can not find a 5/16 linear bearing. Do they make imperial linear bearings?

Nope, they sure don’t. Not for 5/16 at least. I think they make imperial linear bearings for some much larger rod though.

If McMaster, VXB, and SDP-SI don’t list them, it does not exist as a standard part.

Not there. McMaster lists imperial bearings but they conveniently skip over 5/16. End of this researcher. Start again.
