I have a weird issue. Repetier isn’t listening to slic3r.

For example, in Repetier, on the slice tab I hit the configuration button and set the layer temperatures to 180. (Repetier’s “default” temp is 190.) I then hit the “slice” button, which takes me to the print tab when done. Hitting print is when the funny stuff happens.

The bed heats to the correct temperature, but the hot end jumps straight to 190. It doesn’t correct itself after the first layer either. Have I done something wrong?

The “override slic3r” check box isn’t ticked either, I made sure.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling Repetier.

Just checking the basics first: are you sure you’ve saved the new configuration and switched to it before slicing? Have you looked in the g-code to see what the temp setting says?

@Keith_Applegarth I’ll give that a shot.

@paul_wallich definitely saved and checked that I’m using the right config. I haven’t ever looked at the g-code though, where do I see it?

@Patrick_Charlton-O_S I had a weird issue with Repetier and it has happened twice where I slice a STL like I always to and the print head moves to the back of the print bed and lays it all down on one line. As soon as it does it, the only fix is to uninstall and reinstall… I don’t know why…

@Patrick_Charlton-O_S
IIRC in the preview window where you can look at the layers there’s also a provision for looking at the code. Temperature setting should be right at the beginning (oh, and what does the preview visualization look like? OK) If there isn’t a window there – it’s been a while since I used repetier then you should be able to save/export the code and look at it in a text editor. That will at least tell you whether it’s repetier or slic3r that’s confused.

Thanks guys. I’ll check both as soon as I get home.
