I have a question for the community. What was the first 3D Printing kit available for home use? I’ve seen varying articles one suggesting it was the Adrian Bowyer RepRap machine in this community’s picture, another tells me it was Fab@Home and another says it was MakerBot (which I’ve discounted entirely)

Commercial kit with all components included or some documentation on the net of what components to get and how to assemble them?

I think both the american Fab@ and the British RepRap projects grew up simultaneously. Had a check on Ian Gibson, “Additive Manufacturing” (2010)? I don’t have it with me right now but I think I read something about it in there.

Well both really @Marcus_Wolschon . Thanks @Matteo_De_Donatis

The 3d printed Darwin was never commercially available as a kit, though BfB sold the Rapman, which was a lasercut derivative of it that was definitely among the first to be commercially available, though I’m not certain of the exact timeline.

I got my Repman 3.0 I guess in early 2009.
