I have a question about settings. Maybe someone can tell me what I’m doing wrong. On my K40 with a smoothieboard if I push the home button the head moves to the home position-no problem.
When I move the gantry to say x0 y-200 the head wants to go too far and the motor slams up against the rail several times before finally stopping. So I thought if I lowered y limit to 100 from 200 that it might alleviate the slamming but it didn’t.
Have I missed a setting?

FWIW you can install a hard limit switch and enable it in config.

What do you have your steps per mm set to for alpha and beta?

I just noticed that the config is set up alpha_max_trave = 325 and beta_max_travel = 225. Laserweb is set 300x200. Could this disparity be the reason for the slamming, or is that answer too easy?
