I finished all of the mechanics on a diy corexy-frame co2 laser running mk4duo on ramps 1.4 and i’m now setting up the laser tube connecting ramps to the laser powersupply with ttl and pwm connections

When I press the laser test button in laserweb the two stepper motors make a loud cracking/knocking noise. they could be going a multible micro steps back and fourth or something.

Anything know what that is about? The same sound come when i testrun cutting curves i think

Does your firmware set the stepper drivers to sleep after some time of non usage (axes free movable)? If so, then the laser test command is just waking up the drivers.
