I bought 160W 150x150 silicon heater for my 170x170 - 4mm alu build plate.

I bought 160W 150x150 silicon heater for my 170x170 - 4mm alu build plate.
I choose it because I heard 0.6W/cm^2 is needed to reach 120 degree for 150x150 plate (Thomas sanladerer’s)

In test, it could reach 60 degree in 1min 30sec, which is good.
But it took 10mm 30sec for 100 degree, and seems not be able to reach 110 degree.

I bought it from aliexpress, do you guys think they lied about specification? or something wrong about calculation?

Any opinion?

Have you tried any insulation on the bottom of the bed? If you put cardboard on top of your bed during preheat it will warm up faster.

Are you sure your power supply can push enough power for the heater?

@Stephen_Baird Yes, it is 350W power supply. Though it is cheap Chinese too :frowning:

I have a confession to make. My PCB heatbed takes 40 min to reach 110c :’(

@Mark_Rehorst I noticed PID for bed was disabled, I set PID mode and did run autotune as you advised.
But heating time was almost same. upto 90C it took 5:45, but took another 5 min to 100C.
Maybe I have to insulate under the heater next
