I am working on assembling my pocketbeagle+teensy-3.2 based autopilot board this evening. It is all open-source DIY, mostly intended for fixed-wing flight. https://github.com/AuraUAS/aura-hardware

“Experiment with KiCad’s autorouting feature.” I haven’t used autorouting, though I used push-and-shove a little bit. Which autorouting feature(s) have you tried? I see there are now three possibilities. (This wasn’t true when I started playing with KiCad!)

@mcdanlj I used FreeROUTE (java?) which is connected to a button right on the PCB editor gui. The main gripe I have is that it can leave islands of non-connected copper pours. But otherwise it produces quite sensible results and it’s not too much of a hassle to go back and forth to the external tool … at least for the simplistic designs that I do.
