I am looking for some help on setting up GRBL to run with LaserWeb. Have been trying to get a handle on grbl, but have never used it before. Any one?

I get the error “Grbl has not finished booting” when I try to connect to the GRBL shield.

I would say reflash it. What firmware are you loading? Is it a HEX?

I was loading .9j as a hex. Tried reflashing twice. Going to try an earlier version and see what happens

I installed the Arduino IDE and then imported the GRBL source code. It compiled and loaded no-problem for me.

I had that once, I just reflashed something else. Also on Arduino IDE there and option to wipe/delete previous under file/samples I beleive. To that first

Thanks, I compiled it in the IDE and it works now. Lesson learned…do not use the hex files floating around the net.
