I am having an issue with LW4 displaying text on any of the SVGs

I am having an issue with LW4 displaying text on any of the SVGs (or DXFs) I load in. I had read online that putting a stroke on the text fixed the issue, but that did not seem to help me. Every file I have loaded with text has done this. I tried on Windows and Mac and on the latest version of LW4. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Use Inkscape’s Object To Path command

@Todd_Fleming Thanks alot. You have helped me out several times now.

One more question, I did the Object To Path and the text did display. On one of the files I tried it on, some of the text came out different than the rest (in LW4). Don’t know why as all of the text looks the same in Inkscape. Do you know why the letter “a” keeps being displayed like this? It seems to only be on this file though.

It’s a bug in the triangulation library we use

How do I fix the issue or work around it?

If you’re using laser cut, then it won’t affect it. If you’re using laser raster merge then bring in a bitmap instead of an SVG. You could try Inkscape’s simplification, but that’s a long shot.
