How much of an issue is backlash on the Z-Axis?

How much of an issue is backlash on the Z-Axis? I have a Prusa i3v and the weight of the X Axis is supported by the nuts on the threaded rods so I would imagine that there is little to no backlash occurring during prints.

I have a bent threaded rod so I am looking to upgrade to lead screws soon and was considering options to attached to the X rails.

Can matter substantially. I tracked down bad Z-ribbing effect to backlash from sloppy loose-tolerance M8 on one side of my i3 derivative. Used teflon pipe tape on the loose threaded rod to reduce the slop and the Z-ribbing got a lot better. I’m replacing with single-start “precision” T8 2mm lead (not the easier-to-find quad-start “fast” 8mm lead T8) as soon as it arrives in the mail.
