How many meters of filament are in a 1kg spool?

According to Diamond Age website, 1kg of ABS should be between 110m and 133m
edit: for 3mm filament

Thanks!

Assuming a mid-range density of about 1300 kg/m^3 (wikipedia lists a range of 1210-1430 kg/m^3) and a diameter of 3mm, that it would be 109m. For 1.75mm diameter, it would be about 3x that (because the filament has 1/3 the cross-sectional area).

Actually depends on ABS diameter. For 1.75 its around 400m, for 3mm - around 135m. Less for PLA.

Whosa whatsis, 1.2-1.4 g/cm^3 are for PLA, ABS is closer to 1.05 g/cm^3

@Alexey_Ustyantsev Fair enough. I assumed the question was about PLA because I’ve never seen ABS sold by the meter.

Faberdashery’s 3mm PLA is around 113.6 m/kg
