My new 50W CO2 laser did not come with a thermometer to monitor tube temp so I need to add one. I’m using a dual probe digital thermometer to monitor the tube temp and the cooling reservoir temp, it’s the same type I use with my K40 laser which is flush mounted to the top of the machine.
Since 50W machine sits up so much higher then the K40 I opted to 3D print a housing / stand to make it easier to see. Printed from PLA with indents for magnets on the bottom and I added M2 heat-set threaded inserts to fasten a printed back. The magnets allow me to position it as needed.
