Hope to jump on the bandwagon soon.

Hope to jump on the #LaserWeb bandwagon soon.

Yesterday I assembled a cheap Bangood laser engraver kit and was able to produce nice results with the Benbox software.

But that was yesterday. Today I downloaded the LaserWeb windows installer from +Peter van der Walt, flashed the grbl 1.1e and got the connection with LaserWeb. Then I got some issues:

  1. The laser seems to be on by default (without hitting “run”)

  2. When I move the head in the X-axis, it travels more than the 1mm (in Jog mode). Do I have to calibrate it via console or can that be done by LaserWeb?

  3. It says: : “MISSING CONFIG: You need to configure LaserWeb for your setup…” But I inserted all required values…

Any ideas what I can do?

Also, go to https://github.com/LaserWeb/LaserWeb3/wiki/Firmware:-GRBL-1.1d---PLEASE-USE-THIS-VERSION for example config for Grbl.

Due to changes in Grbl 1.1e the laser is not switched of on pause. I have corrected this problem allready in the actual LW3 version. Please update with git pull.

@cprezzi Do you mean I don’t have to do the jumper job?

No, you have to make sure the jumper is in v0.9 position. But you should update LW3 so the pause function works correctly.

+Peter van der Walt After replacing the jumper it worked as it should. Refining the setting will be done tomorrow. Thank you for your support. #theyearofthelaser may beginn

@cprezzi Thank you for your support. The Swiss delegation in this group is growing.
