HI, this message is shown:

HI, this message is shown: You must connect to your GRBL device using the GRBL buffer algorithm in this workspace. Connecting to any other buffer (default, tinyg, etc) will cause unpredictable behavior. and State as offline when I try to run my CNC. What could the cause be, and how can I resolve it?

Do you own a grbl device? Did you start SPJS ( Serial Port json Server) on your pc, and did it report any ports you could connect? You should make a fullsize screenshot of your browser and perhaps another showing your spjs window and post it here to enable others to help you.

Also please read the pinned Message from Ray Kholodovsky on the chilipeppr-Community Page on Google+. There you can find the extensive description how to report your Problem. You should find it here http://plus.google.com/communities/104346367498010042037 titled: “How to ask for help from the support community”

I had the same issue. Never solved it… switched to bCNC wich works out of the box with grbl firmware. Even with toolchange!

The Text you stated is simply the standard message when opening the grbl workspace. You should look at the Widget below that for the Serial Port Json Server. If you already have that running on the pc you connected the grbl Controller to, then you need to Click “Connect to Host” and usually then Click “Connect to localhost”

@Werner_Drasch i think that he has allready done that. Atleast, i did. I only got rid of that message wile connecting with tinyg driver.

Hello guys, sorry for the late reply and thank you for all of your replies. Weekend happened. This is a responsive community.
Turns out I had to select grbl in place of default and adjust the baud rate to 115200. CNC works fine now.
also: I had this tutorial to help: http://www.instructables.com/id/Probing-and-Milling-a-PCB-using-an-Arduino-Based-C/step2/Chilipeppr-Setup/ maybe useful to you too.

@Werner_Drasch You really need to just shut up there, because you’re not helping…
