Hi! I want to change my 3D printed cold-end of my bowden extruder with a metal version. Can anyone help me with some CAD files for CNC machining? I wouldn’t want to design one from scratch if not necessary. Thanks in advance.

There are dozens of machines with different mounts, hundrets of extruder mechanisms and no CAD files for most of them. At most they have STL polygon exports on their website.

The Bulldog Extruder might be a good option for you. Personally (and based on no personal experience, just speculation) I think the Bondtech extruder is a better device. The Bondtech has two filament driving “gears” rather than a single gear and spring loaded idler like most designs.

I’ve always used cpu heatsinks to build cold ends. Drill a hole through the Base thread it for the barrel use the cpu fan for cooling and you’re golden. Oh and that’s for bowden tubes not direct.

Yea either bulldog, or you could try machining an airtripper.
