Hi Guys! I am researching for a machine capable of milling PCBs. Especially SSOP must be possible.
Does anyone has experience with those chinese CNC3020 or CNC3040 with acme screws? Do those machines are capable of those tasks or does it need ball scews for that?

I’ve had pretty darn good success on the 3040 with ballscrews. I highly recommend you spend the extra $ on ballscrews because the translation of rigidity to your final CNC milled traces is noticeable. Trapezoid can have some backlash/mushiness. It’s not as bad as timing belt mushiness, but if you want crisp/clean the ballscrews help.
