Hi folks, I got this 2pin plug together with the PancakeBot.

Hi folks, I got this 2pin plug together with the PancakeBot. It shows “2.5A 125V~”.
Along the body of this plug cable, there is 2 x 0.824mm sq (18AWG) 300V.

Can this plug work in countries that runs on 230Vac?

Thank you

You finally received your Pancakebot. Yeah! I don’t know the answer to your question but I can try googling it to see what I find out.

According to http://enginerringtoolbox.com: “The higher the number - the thinner the wire. Typical household wiring is AWG number 12 or 14. Telephone wire is typical AWG 22, 24, or 26.”

So, based on my non-technical advice, it would appear to be safe.

Thank Michael.

I understand a bit about the AWG, having worked before in the LED lighting industry.

But I am concerned about “2.5A 125V~”.

I am based in Singapore, where our home ac is 230V.

Will it blow away the PancakeBot if I were to plug the power socket in the mains?

Sorry Ivan, this I do not know the answer to. I
I’ll do some more reading.

It appears the answer to this question was before the griddles were updated to the 220V option. But, again, my non-technical advice. You could reach out to psanyl on Craftunique. I’m quite certain he could provide you with a more intelligent answer than I :slight_smile:

Thank you Michael : )

@Guys, I am sorry.

I should have posted my question on PancakeBot google+ community page, instead of here.
