Hi Everyone,
I feel like this question has probably been asked before, but I have searched and can’t find the answer.
I am scoping out a project to create a large-ish LED display to show a video feed that is being streamed from a remote camera via the internet. I would like the display to be ~9000 pixels (5m x 2m with a 30led/m spacing).
What I’m looking for your help with is to spec out the best current toolchain to get this done. I have read about many libraries and dev boards that all seem to control arrays and strings of LEDs but I’d rather start working with the right one instead of muddling through a couple wrong ones.
So, what would you use? Would a rPi feeding the video feed to a teensie3.1 running fastLED be able to control 9k pixels at an ok frame rate? Are there boards/libraries out there that would be better suited for this?
I’d appreciate any help or leads.
Thanks
