Hi All, I just started with Laserweb and I already have an issue.

I’m using the Inkscape 0.91 and LW 4.0.991 I’m about to finish my engraver and can’t get the shapes filled, it looks fine in Inkscape and InternetExplorer but there is no filling in LW.

I also get a “The file has minor issues” error but this doesn’t help me.

I attach the results.
unfortunately, I have also no idea how to upload the SVG file.

thanks for any help
Tinu

because u maybe make trace outline that ia why photo look like this … i guss

I didn’t even start to mill/cut just opened the SVG and I’s not filled.

@Martin_von_Gunten
So because its saved By .Svg
that is why its not filled … u want to engrave so save it .JPJ Or png
and it will be filled … good Luck

Thanks, again for your reply. But I didn’t choose any operation to mill or engrave at this moment.
I works with the litte dot but not for the “handdrawn” circle with the z.
If they would be shown as black I would be able to pocket mill them. Tinu

@Martin_von_Gunten
The File u Import it in LW … What is Kind Of it ?
SVG Or Png Or BMP Or Jpg ?

recheck that the items have fill enabled and set to black and re-save. inkscape has done this to me a few times and for some reason saving a new copy usually fixes it(ctrl-c and drop into new sheet not just a new file name) hope one of those fixes it for you

@Domm434 I checked the colour and copy pasted the SVG into another drawing and saved it, without any success.

is there away where I can upload the svg here ?

Fill color of countours is not supported with SVG or DXF. You can fill a path in LW4 by adding a “Laser Fill Path” operation for that contour in LaserWeb.

@Martin_von_Gunten Share the SVG with https://wetransfer.com and paste the link here. :slight_smile:

@Martin_von_Gunten I tried to process your file:

I was able to “Mill Cut” the contour of your shapes (which is similar to “Laser Cut”).

I was not able to “Mill Pocket” the shapes. For me it looks like the contour is not closed…
