Hey I have a prusa i3 and I’m having trouble with the belt that keeps skipping steps . The belt is tightened pretty good . Please help

Did you check the voltage to your steppers? Is it proper for the motor?

I had the same problem twice the first i thought the belt is loos but it wasn’t .the first time was the driver’s chip some how knocked up voltage , the second it was the firmware i just reflashed it and solved the problem for me.

It might be the motor rather than the belt. If your current is too high or low then it could be skipping.

Alright let me try that .

also make sure that the pulley is screwed tight on the stepper.

If your voltage is too high, the stepper will get hot.

Make sure the belt is not rubbing on the pulley, belt should be perfectly centered. You may have to adjust the motor to make that work. E.g. for the Y motor I had to jam something in between the threaded rod and the motor, as the mount would flex.

I’m having trouble with my first print !!!

What trouble?

When trying to print it freaks out and sends the printer all the way to the front instead of the back .
