Hey guys! Well I seem to be in way over my head. I have a few questions.
I use my K40 for only engraving. With the M4 nano board I just uploaded the .AI file and used the engrave feature and everything worked great. So my question is how in the world do I get this to work with smoothieware and laserweb? Do I use the lasercut fill option or the raster option?

Using the raster option seems to just screw everything up and the laser cut fill has been way over powered using the same settings I used to use on the nano board. Could anyone share with me the setting they use to engrave with smoothieware?

Also would anyone be willing to share their config file with me? I can’t seem to get the machine dialed in. It either shakes itself apart or acts like it doesn’t know wtf it is doing.

Does anyone else have problems importing .SVG files? I use Illustrator to design all my stuff and when I save as a .svg file and import into laserweb the design is around 25% smaller.

@laurence_champagne ​ welcome. First you need to tell LW that you are using AI. For that go to Settings / File Settings and type 72 under PX per Inch. That will handling the scaling issues

On your other issue. Are you doing SVG with embedded bitmaps or just pure vectors?

@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty @laurence_champagne If your AI version is old, then you also need to enable Force PX Per Inch.
