Hey Guys!

So I finally got my Printrbot Metal Plus Today!! :slight_smile: This thing looks great!! Real solid… however lol I succesfully did the unboxing, but it seems like it’s missing a chunk of information… It goes from getting out of the box straight to auto leveling… the power box comes with three sets of yellow and black wires… and I can’t find anywhere to plug two of the three sets… Any help?

Where can I download the drivers? When connecting to my computer it says that it fail to install drivers…

yep… that what the paper says to do… but I don’t see any connection details on that guide… plus drivers wont install on my computer… WIN 7

Afaik you have to install the unsigned driver. http://help.printrbot.com

I noticed the start guide is incomplete but basically same setup as the simple metal. Wires should be a microUSB cable and power - both connect to the back. I dodge installing drivers and stuff by hooking it up straight to a raspberry pi with astroprint distro (or octoprint, printeros, print2peer, etc.)

JFYI… I followed Fredric’s link, and at the bottom right corner there was a “Driver” download link. I had to right click and “run as administrator” and now my computer found my printer… time to run a test print!! :slight_smile:

More likely I’ll have more questions… Thanks again for all your help!!

hey Noe! Gracias! What really tripped me out was the cables coming out of the power supply unit… I guess only one connects to the printer, but my thought was: “if they are there, they most connect to something”… So i’m still wondering if those two extra connectors are for… But I do feel like the set up guide should be more complete.

One more question… Do I need to load the “simple settings configuration file” even tho I have a Metal Plus? I’m using repeater for windows…

I’ll fix the guide. Sheesh, what were we thinking!? Just be sure to manually change build size

Good luck … it is a wonderful printer i did found that build description when all was mounted and running :wink: i have been happy to have that link in the box lol
