Hey guys and gals!
I have all the spare parts of a prusa i2 printer, and then some…minus one motor. What would you upgrade it into using what you can from it?

I would just spend the$15 for a stepper motor, put it together and sell it, then use the money to buy something else.

I would get one of these and order the plastic parts and missing motor. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Prusa-i3-6mm-Aluminium-Frame-Threaded-Smooth-Rod-Kit-RepRap-3D-Printer/32609483482.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.119.Gwp2rJ&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_3_10000073_10065_10068_10501_10000074_10000132_10000033_10503_10000030_10000026_10000175_10000126_10000023_10000129_10000123_10000507_432_10000505_10000407_10000068_10060_10062_10056_10055_10054_302_10000063_10059_10000120_10099_10000020_10000156_10000013_10000117_10103_10102_10000016_10000114_10096_10000111_10052_10053_10050_10107_10051_10106_10000097_10000094_10000433_10000090_10000147_10000091_10000144_10084_10000150_10000101_10083_10000100_10080_10000153_10000104_10082_10000045_10081_10110_10000108_10111_10112_10113_10114_10000089_10000086_10000083_10000042_10000135_10000080_10078_10000485_10079_10000039_10073_10000494_10000140_10070_10000036_10122_10000389_10123_10000451_10126_10124_10000187-10503_10501,searchweb201603_2,afswitch_1,ppcSwitch_4,single_sort_0_default&btsid=0ba50d1b-ae4a-4bfb-8cee-9956d59d1f8b&algo_expid=d4bf79b7-7954-4f45-a785-96119e66eb7f-14&algo_pvid=d4bf79b7-7954-4f45-a785-96119e66eb7f

but wheres the fun in that?!
I have tons of spare parts, belt, rods all kinds of fun stuff. no fun not making it into something enjoyable.

thats not too bad. Ill have to look up the length of the rods @Jeff_Dewe I might already have them.

Great then buy if for $50 cheaper without the rods. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Prusa-i3-Rework-Aluminium-Frame-kit-black-silver-color-Anodized-6mm-aluminm-alloy-RepRap-3D-Printer/32735708613.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.221.W99Nwd&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_3_10000073_10065_10068_10501_10000074_10000132_10000033_10503_10000030_10000026_10000175_10000126_10000023_10000129_10000123_10000507_432_10000505_10000407_10000068_10060_10062_10056_10055_10054_302_10000063_10059_10000120_10099_10000020_10000156_10000013_10000117_10103_10102_10000016_10000114_10096_10000111_10052_10053_10050_10107_10051_10106_10000097_10000094_10000433_10000090_10000147_10000091_10000144_10084_10000150_10000101_10083_10000100_10080_10000153_10000104_10082_10000045_10081_10110_10000108_10111_10112_10113_10114_10000089_10000086_10000083_10000042_10000135_10000080_10078_10000485_10079_10000039_10073_10000494_10000140_10070_10000036_10122_10000389_10123_10000451_10126_10124_10000187-10503_10501,searchweb201603_2,afswitch_1,ppcSwitch_4,single_sort_0_default&btsid=0ba50d1b-ae4a-4bfb-8cee-9956d59d1f8b&algo_expid=d4bf79b7-7954-4f45-a785-96119e66eb7f-27&algo_pvid=d4bf79b7-7954-4f45-a785-96119e66eb7f

Oooooo

Turn it into a CNC or laser.

@NavyMustard , I’m listening!
Would one this small be very useful?

Well the the cheapest CNC online is smaller, but using a laser to engrave can be useful. You only need 2 axis for the laser

That would be pretty awesome!
To Google!
