Here’s a blurry picture from the back of the print job lifting the tape! Looks like a heated bed is note officially on the wishlist…

Or just switch to glass with glue stick…

Or use the blue tape on something (like glass) that it can adhere properly too.

Hair Spray is my personal fave - works like a charm and pretty easy to clean. Heated bed helps, but it’s not always a silver bullet. Real nice angles at the top btw, smooth!

Question about warping and hairspray: Should you spray the hairspray onto the painter’s tape, or just spray the build plate and print directly on the plate?

I don’t recommend hair spray, it gets everywhere if you are not careful. It’s bad if it gets in your motors. My experience has been a bit of UHU glue on very clean class @ 60C gives the best long term adherence vs ability to remove the print afterward with PLA. Even big prints just pop off after the HBP is cool.

That print, if done at a decent speed, shouldn’t have curled if you used blue painters tape and adjusted your first layer extrusion width (a setting in slic3r) to insure a good grip on the tape.

Edit: Also, light alcohol wipe, dry, then apply the tape to wrap entirely around the platform, folding over the edges even. I got better results making the tape as tight as possible, using a credit card to get out all creases and bubbles.
