Live stream test of grayscale prep for laser web… please voice your opinions on what I could do to improve my presentation. I want the best possible product to present to the folks of #LaserWeb
Please don’t mind the dark spot above the left eye I bumped my potentiometer trying to film the engrave (too much glare from the acrylic window to post) it was corrected and the rest of the engrave was flawless
Looking great Alex. Well done.
Maybe not relevant to this tutorial, but showing examples of problem areas and then how your adjustments and refinements improve it could be very useful for people learning.
I would really like input on what I need to do to make my presentation better… should I include some more basics of the software first or jump right in and show the tools I use most for laser prep?
@Alex_Krause . I think that would work really well. It would definitely help people understand things a whole lot better.
With respect to including more basics, I personally think that should be another presentation all together. Keeping presentations focused to one topic makes it a lot easier for people to learn from.
A ‘basics’ presentation would be extremely useful as well. Could be a little tricky with the flux LW is in at the moment though.
@Domenic_Di_Giorgio completely understand the flux issue… I had to change my approach of photo editing when switching over to the updated edge firmware from the last stable master firmware on smoothie
Believe it or not this was the best image I have ever done… and it was done on the stock hardware and software that came with my cheap k40 import laser… it took about 3 hours of pre processing with Gimp though…
