Here is an example of what I’m seeing when trying to use LW4 for raster.

I get a lot of artifacts in what should be white. I thought it was some of the join/trim/burn white settings, but even with them off (last 2 lines) I get strange burn lines.

Thoughts?

My tickler power is at 0.1 in the config. Minimum 0, max 1.0, acceleration is at 4500 right now (turned down because I was getting lost steps in laser fill)

I deleted the 1st post because I’m getting wildly inconsistent results. What I was seeing before was being masked by the material. This image is more consistent.

I got simmilar results when my feed rate was too fast. Try half feed rate and half laser power? Any changes?

I’ll play with it a bit more tomorrow. Had to step away from the shop for the evening.

Was it sanded before you lased it? Just wondering if the artifacts correspond to cut marks or if it was the software. Cut marks, abrasions, indentations and wood tanins can probably affect things, I think. I will be able to confirm if I ever end up with a laser cutter/engraver.
I am assuming you mean he horizontal lines, by the way.
If you can add a white border around the image and get rid of the horizontal lines that way then I would guess it is only drawing from left to right or right to left instead of alternating to minimizing directions and that it is leaving the laser on during row changes.
