Hello

So I am thinking about making a small 3D printer, and I have a few questions that I hope you fine folks here could be able to answer. First of all, how much do you estimate I would have to spend on a project like this, and what hardware do you think I would need? A few servos, an Arduino, a Raspberry Pi? Also, do you happen to know of any tutorials or guides about how to make a 3D printer, just to get me started?

Have you had a look at RepRap.org ? That should be the first thing to look for. Read up on the wiki and the forums too.
Your question has been asked and answered many times there.

Not servos, but stepper motors. A small printer would cost only a fraction less than a large printer. A DIY printer would run you about 500$
