Hello, My name is Martins, design student in Latvia,

Hello,

My name is Martins, design student in Latvia, and my university provides me an FDM 3D printer to work with. Currently, I’m searching for any beta testing program for 3D printing materials. I’d like to ask anyone if you are aware of such beta testing programs?

Thank you for your answer in advance!

testing materials in software ?!?

@Adrian_Ciubotariu
so you have a research for materials properties :wink:
does it include shapes/infill of 3d objects and making new filaments ?
also what about printing from pellet/mixture to have a large panel of tests very fast ?

@christophe_malvasio it’s material properties that does include infill density and pattern.
As it’s not my work, but from a group I’m in, I can’t give more than what was shared. there are close to 200 test samples so… it’s gonna be extensive

@Adrian_Ciubotariu
interesting will your group work with direct pellet/mixtures to have a systematical research in future ?

@christophe_malvasio not sure and the probability is low. that’s because there aren’t that many interested win pellets it’s easier to change the filament (colour) when one needs (especially with direct drive extruders). pellets are more for (very) large volume printers, not the average tinkerer.

not sure how many types of filament were tested, but there were many
